Frequently Asked Questions
Please reach us at alignmyotherapy@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
What should I wear to my appointment?
We recommend that you wear appropriate loose fitting, and comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. During your appointment, you may be asked to remove items of clothing for our practitioner to assess and treat you effectively.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring any x-ray or scan reports you may have relating to the condition you are seeking treatment for.
Can I claim private health fund benefits?
You sure can! Our Myotherapist is provider-recognised by most major health funds, which include myotherapy in their ‘Extras’ cover. Whilst you will need to pay in full on the day of your consultation, we will email you a copy of your paid invoice for you for you to manually claim any benefits and reimbursements from your private health fund that you may be entitled to.
What are your payment options?
We require payment on the day of consultation. Our clinic has EFTPOS facilities available to all clients to make payment. Unfortunately, we do not accept cash or bank transfers as payment options.
I am unwell. Can I still attend my appointment?
The health and safety of our clients and staff is paramount to our operations. If you are feeling unwell, do not attend your appointment, as we will be unable to provide treatment. Please contact the clinic and we will assist you to reschedule for another suitable time.
Please ensure you follow all guidelines regarding the use of personal protective equipment, such as masks, as indicated by us prior to, and upon your arrival. Please note, our guidelines may differ from government regulations.
I am feeling sore post-treatment. Is this normal?
Some soreness after Myotherapy treatment may occur and is usually normal. This soreness is a result of the required physical pressure used by your practitioner to regain proper movement and function to your body. This soreness is short-lived, and usually resolves within 24-48 hours. Often, these short-term symptoms can be relieved with heat or cold packs or hot showers. Completing your prescribed exercises as directed by your practitioner or going for a light walk is also often a great idea.
If you have any concerns or questions about your management, or your symptoms get worse, don’t be afraid to contact us to discuss with your practitioner.
